Boitanio Park
is the main community park located in the downtown core of the
community of Williams Lake, British Columbia, Canada. The 17 hectare
parkland is well maintained, well used and, more importantly adds
a nice touch of natural green to the community.
Boitanio Park enjoys a 2.5 kilometre paved walkway. The walkway
is surrounded by a vast sheet of grass lawns, some flower gardens
and a forest of fir trees. Spotted throughout the park is a series
of picnic tables and sitting benches, some exposed to the sun
while others hide under the shade of trees. On our visit people
gathered in the park to have lunch, read a book, go for a walk
and meet with friends and family.
The main entrance to Boitanio Park is decorated with wooden sitting
benches and a Rose Garden. In the spring months the walkway lights
up in reds, whites and pinks. The paved walkway leads to a skateboard
park, washrooms and the Gwen Ringwood outdoor theatre, which can
also double as a picnic shelter.
